Ginger can treat stomach issues, boost immunity and more
Few herbs have received as much praise throughout history as ginger, the rhizome of the Zingiber officinaleplant. Testimonials of ginger's significant medicinal properties have been recorded as far back as ancient Greece, though it was also mentioned in the ancient literature of Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The ancient healing systems of China and India particularly venerated ginger, and often prescribed it to treat fatigue, poor blood circulation and nausea.  ...[full story]

Increasing breastfeeding can save millions in health costs, research shows
Providing resources to allow breastfeeding mothers to keep breastfeeding longer could save millions a year in healthcare costs, according to a study recently published in the Archives of Disease in Childhood.  The researchers found that, in the United Kingdom alone, doubling the numbers of women who continue breastfeeding for between 7 and 18 months and increasing the number that continue for at least 4 months would reduce the incidence of disease in infants and their mothers enough to save the National Health Service more than £40 million ($62.9 million) per year.  ...[full story]

Canadians still waiting 18.2 weeks for surgery; no improvement since 2013
The median wait time for Canadians seeking medically necessary surgery or other therapeutic treatment remains stalled at 18.2 weeks, same as 2013, finds the 24th annual wait times report by the Fraser Institute, an independent, non-partisan Canadian public policy think-tank.  In 1993, the wait time was just 9.3 weeks....[full story]

Could There Be A Link Between Milk And Cancer?
It looks like it’s time to lose that milk moustache once and for all. Researchers in Sweden have discovered startling new information about the people who can’t have milk and dairy… and it looks like the dairy industry is going to wish this study was never conducted. We’ve been warning our readers about the dangers of milk for many years, especially when it comes to pasteurized milk and low-fat varieties. Now a new study puts a whole different spin on things… and it’s not good news....[full story]

GMO’s and CAFO’s Drive Disease Statistics and Destroy Communities
Genetically engineered (GE) crops and confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs) go hand-in-hand, and they are not only driving disease statistics into the stratosphere; they’re also destroying communities. The promises to contain the waste, disease, and infections that these factory farms create are nothing but wishful thinking. In reality, the toxic waste cannot be contained. In a very real sense, we’re committing suicide by way of our unsustainable, polluting, degenerative food and agriculture system—a system that is subsidized and paid for by US tax payers, through severely broken federal policies. ...[full story]

The Fluoride Deception: An Interview with Christopher Bryson
Those who bother to delve into the science behind water fluoridation will inevitably come to see that there’s an abysmal lack of evidence supporting this routine practice, and an awful lot of evidence stacked against it.  Water fluoridation began in 1945. Today, the United States adds fluoride to more than two-thirds of the municipal water supplies reaching nearly 211 million Americans....[full story]

Marginalizing Megadosing Mammals
A Special Report Leaked from the World Headquarters Of Pharmaceutical Politicians, Educators, and Reporters We appear to have intercepted another confidential memo from the World Headquarters Of Pharmaceutical Politicians, Educators, and Reporters (WHOPPER). It reads: "All right, who leaked this? "We very nearly had the public completely fooled about vitamin C, and Heaven knows we fooled the media decades ago. And now this, starting to go viral on the internet.....[full story]

Food Allergies Fifth Leading Chronic Illness in US
Food allergies are the fifth leading chronic illness in the US – and their incidence is on the rise. From 1997 to 2007, food allergies increased 18 percent among children under 18 years, and today an estimated one out of every 13 children has a food allergy. It’s known that food allergies tend to run in families, which suggests a genetic component. However, other theories for why food allergies are becoming commonplace point to a more complex environmental, as well as lifestyle-related, cause....[full story]

Dr. Christopher Mohr is an expert in sports nutrition, weight loss and essential fatty acids.  If you are a regular listener to HealthQuestPodcast.com, you know I think omega-3 fatty acids are perhaps the most important single nutrient you can take. The Path To Understanding Part 2
What is the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)? Why does the major Media avoid discussing it? What has been its impact on American government, and American society for the past one hundred years? In addition, what about the aid given via the CFR to Germany prior to WWII through the Dawes Plan (1924)?  These are the questions which are foremost in the minds of the uninitiated and uninformed when being introduced to the fact that such an organization even exists....[full story]

National Health Federation Action Alert - Act Now to Save Small Farms
As many of you are aware, the National Health Federation, with your help and support, has long defended small farmers and ranchers.  Part of that defense has included the fair and small farm-friendly provisions of the Tester-Hagan amendment to the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).  We thank our membership for all of the support that has been given to our efforts to protect small food producers.  However, the FDA continues to threaten small producers and NHF needs your help.   ...[full story]

The Fight Against Water Fluoridation Continues
The fluoride-free movement has continued to grow throughout the world at a staggering pace. We have had more than 400 communities around the world end existing fluoridation programs or reject new efforts to fluoridate either by council vote or citizen referendum since 1990.  In 2014 alone, we’ve confirmed that at least 30 communities providing water to more than 9,961,111 residents rejected or ended fluoridation....[full story]

Yes, it's true: CDC admits this year's flu shot doesn't work
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has admitted that this year's flu vaccine currently provides less than 50 percent protection against the most dangerous and common circulating strain of the influenza virus.  Yet the agency not only encourages people to get vaccinated anyway but is also urging doctors to step up the use of antiviral drugs that provide barely any health benefit....[full story]

Big Pharma labs routinely delete toxic drugs' failed test results, then ship them to US customers
One of the problems with pharmaceuticals (as opposed to most natural remedies) is the fact that, whenever you swallow a pill or receive an injection, you are forced to place your trust in whoever manufactured the medication.  There is no way to determine beforehand whether or not the dose you are taking is safe and effective -- you can only rely on the assumption that the drug has been manufactured according to rigorous standards and thoroughly tested in regard to its efficacy and purity. ...[full story]

"Obama is a tyrant the same way FDR was a tyrant. He has a view of presidential power that states: the government is in control of the country, and the president is in charge of the government. Why Water Fluoridation Continues, Despite Flying in the Face of Science
A majority of Americans consume an "invisible" drug on a daily basis—a drug so harmful it's been proven to cause serious health issues, including damage to your bones, teeth, kidneys, thyroid, and pineal gland. Dozens of studies have shown it reduces IQ in children and damages your brain. Despite that, this drug is so pervasive that over 40 percent of American teens between the ages of 12 and 15 show visible signs of overexposure. The drug in question is fluoride—which is added to a majority of municipal water supplies across the US. It's also found in a number of other products, most notably toothpaste and other dental treatments. Sodium fluoride—which is a far simpler toxin than the fluoride compounds used for most water fluoridation—has been used for rat and cockroach poisons, so there is no question that fluoride is toxic....[full story]

High-Fat Diet May Help In The Fight Against Alzheimer’s And Dementia
If you or someone you love suffers from dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, you’ll welcome the latest research findings. A Danish research team discovered that dietary fat can actually slow down your brain’s ageing process… and that can be a game-changer when it comes to saving your memory. What makes this research particularly interesting is that the researchers were looking for something that might help children who have a rare disease, one that causes them to age rapidly. It’s called Cockayne syndrome. What they found instead could be a saving grace for many Alzheimer’s and dementia sufferers....[full story]
